What can I put in the bin?
Here at County House Clearance, we understand that it can be a little complicated to understand exactly what you are allowed to put into the Kerbside Collection boxes…
As one of the South West’s leading Waste Clearance companies, we are frequently helping our clients remove waste from Somerset, Dorset and Devon. One question comes up more frequently than others when our clients pick up the phone… ‘Can’t I just throw that in the bin?’
The answer to that question is, absolutely, but you might be breaking the law if you do...
Somerset, Devon and Dorset Waste Partnerships have very important restrictions in place to decide what can and can’t be thrown out with the weekly bins, we have created a list of what you cannot throw out in the weekly bins below!
Somerset Waste Partnership will not remove the following from your property as part of a Kerbside Collection…
Garden waste.
Rubble, earth and stones - building waste.
Batteries, household or vehicle items.
Bulky household items
Engine oil, paint or other chemicals
Business or commercial waste
The good news is, we are able to pick up almost all types of waste, from garden waste and building rubble, to car batteries and unwanted furniture. Our friendly team ensure as much as possible is recycled.
As a licensed waste carrier, it is incredibly important to us that the environment is considered throughout all stages of the removal of waste. We are registered with the Environment Agency, so you can rest assured your unwanted waste will be taken care of.
